That the listed ingredients add up to that number. Nothing about the split. A 500mg blend of eight ingredients could be 480mg of the cheapest and trace amounts of the rest.

Why Order Is A Weak Clue

Ingredients within a blend are generally listed by weight, descending. That tells you which is largest, not by how much, and the gap is usually where the interesting information lives.

The Commercial Reason Blends Exist

Formulation privacy is the stated rationale. In practice it also lets a product name an impressive ingredient while including very little of it.

How To Push Back

Ask the seller directly for per-ingredient amounts. Some will provide them. A refusal is itself an answer worth weighing.

When A Blend Is Less Concerning

If the total is generous, the ingredient count is small, and the ordering is disclosed, the uncertainty is narrower.

And When No Panel Exists At All

Then even a blend total would be an improvement. Get the panel before you spend anything.
